In a heartfelt display of Christmas spirit, a Clementi coffeeshop stall owner provided local seniors with complimentary festive meals.
In Blk 713 Clementi West Street 2, coffeeshop stall named Steamed Society serves up traditional Chinese cuisines like soups, steamed dishes and rice.
This Christmas holiday on December 25, the stall is giving away 153 free Christmas meals to seniors above age 60. Xie Yiling, the stall’s owner, initially had a friend who sponsored 125 meal sets; encouraged by the friend’s kindness, she added 28 more sets in the spirit of giving.
Each set meal is thoughtfully put together, which includes steamed mushroom and chicken, rice, and pork ribs soup. Seniors had only to show proof of their age, dine in, and enjoy a heartwarming meal.
