Track works for the Circle Line’s Stage 6 extension will lead to the half-closure of Telok Blangah and Harbourfront MRT stations from January 20 to May 24, 2024.

The Circle Line is gearing up for a major enhancement with its Stage 6 extension, which includes the addition of three new stations—Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward. This extension, closing the Circle Line as a complete loop, is set to open its doors in 2026.

The integration work mandates operational adjustments—Circle Line trains will alternate their turnaround between Kent Ridge and Labrador Park stations. A shuttle train service will operate on the opposite platform of HarbourFront and Labrador Park stations with a frequency of every 10 minutes.

Peak hour travelers can take the express shuttle bus service E31, which will bridge Kent Ridge and Harbourfront stations within a 10 to 15-minute interval. Additionally, regular public buses—numbered 10, 30, 57, 61, 93, 97, 100, 143, 166, 188, and 963—provide an alternative access to the Circle Line.

Commuters accustomed to traveling via Haw Par Villa and Pasir Panjang stations are advised to make use of existing bus services 10, 30, 143, or 188 to navigate around the Circle Line’s affected stations.
