Collection Dates for an older EZ-Link card for those commuters who switched to SimplyGo

Commencing from March 18 to June 30, certain commuters who transitioned to using SimplyGo can now collect an additional EZ-Link card that will enable them to view their card balances under the previous ticketing system. This opportunity is specifically available for adult commuters who made the switch to SimplyGo or purchased a SimplyGo EZ-Link card between January 9 and January 22, just before the decision was made to extend the longevity of the old EZ-Link ticketing system.

During the mentioned period from March 18 to June 30, eligible commuters can retrieve their EZ-Link card for free, based on their SimplyGo EZ-Link card identification number, at any of the SimplyGo ticket offices. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has recently announced these collection details, which have been introduced in response to the reinstatement of the older card-based ticketing (CBT) system for adult commuters, which is now expected to remain in place until at least 2030.

For those who had purchased a NETS Prepaid Card within the same conversion timeframe of January 9 to January 22, they can also collect a free NETS FlashPay card between April 1 and June 30. The NETS FlashPay card aligns with the CBT system, allowing a clear view of fare deductions and card balances at fare gates and bus card readers, a feature currently not supported by SimplyGo cards.

Eligible adult commuters looking to obtain a new CBT EZ-Link card can refer to their card collection period, as specified by the last digit of their 16-digit EZ-Link card identification number, provided by LTA. It is mandatory for all commuters to present their current SimplyGo card for verification during the card collection process. Even after receiving the new CBT card, commuters can still retain and utilize their existing SimplyGo card.

LTA encourages commuters to adhere to the allocated collection dates to ensure a smoother collection process with minimal waiting times, mentioning that ample stock of CBT EZ-Link cards is available. Notably, to avoid longer queues and waiting times during peak hours (8am to 9.30am and 5pm to 7pm), commuters may opt to visit the ticket office during off-peak hours.

If anyone is uncertain about their eligibility status for collecting a new CBT card, they can conduct a quick eligibility check by entering their EZ-Link card identification number at This Website or contact the SimplyGo hotline at 1800 2255 663 for further assistance.

Collection Schedule for NETS Prepaid Cardholders

Between April 1 and June 30, commuters who purchased a NETS Prepaid card within the specified dates of January 9 to January 22 can acquire a free NETS FlashPay card from any ticket office across the island. These cardholders are advised to keep and continue using their existing NETS Prepaid card even after collecting their NETS FlashPay card.

For any queries regarding eligibility for a new NETS FlashPay card, individuals can refer to the SimplyGo website or contact the NETS customer service hotline at 6274 1212.

Through these initiatives, LTA aims to ensure a seamless transition for all eligible Singaporean commuters, providing them with the needed information and resources to make informed decisions regarding their travel cards.
