In an engaging update shared via Instagram on August 18, popular online persona Mayiduo, together with his wife Angie Teo, joyously announced they are anticipating the arrival of their second child. The announcement was creatively made through a playful skit culminating in Mayiduo, also known as Kelvin Tan, humorously declaring, “I’m gonna be a father again, guys,” while showcasing Angie’s growing baby bump. Kelvin, aged 31, light-heartedly remarked on the upcoming addition as “one more financial burden.”
A whimsical exchange followed with their four-year-old son regarding his soon-to-change status to an older brother, or “kor kor,” and the splitting of his inheritance, to which the child amusingly agreed.
The family shared a moment holding an ultrasound scan, with Mayiduo quipping about the future division of financial resources, hinting at the playful challenges of expanding their family. Congratulatory messages quickly poured in from fellow local celebrities like Ben Yeo and Lee Teng, celebrating the couple’s news.
Further embracing the spirit of family, the couple later posted images capturing their son’s excitement over no longer being the only child.
Angie, on her part, opened up about her struggle with hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, humorously comparing her ordeal to Kate Middleton’s despite lacking the latter’s royal lifestyle. She detailed her challenging experience, which included using up 150 vomit bags and being bedridden, reaching a point where she declared no intention of going through pregnancy again despite the joy their children bring. Angie hinted at a reward from Mayiduo for her endurance, saying, “I think I deserve more bags after this.”
The couple’s joyful anticipation alongside their candid sharing of the pregnancy challenges paints a heartwarming picture of their growing family, peppered with humor and real-life struggles that many can relate to.
