A 25-year-old man tragically lost his life following a violent altercation at a coffee shop located near Kitchener Road in the Farrer Park area in the early hours of Sunday, September 22.
The incident, which occurred at Verdun Road, resulted in blood stains found on the ground near Kim San Leng Eating House and in front of the Novotel Singapore hotel along Kitchener Road. Authorities were notified of the situation at about 4:05 am, leading to an immediate response from the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
Two individuals, aged 24 and 25, were found unconscious and rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries, while the other individual sustained severe injuries. The police have initiated investigations into the matter.
Reports indicate that the altercation erupted at a coffee shop near 16 Verdun Road, evidenced by the discovery of two pairs of black slippers—one of which was located inside the coffee shop. Witness accounts and footage from the scene depict a somber aftermath, with black footwear scattered near overturned chairs and a small pool of blood in close proximity to the coffee shop.

Authorities swiftly erected police cordons around the establishment, the adjacent Sam Leong Road alley, and the area in front of the Novotel Singapore hotel along Kitchener Road.
