A tragic accident occurred early Wednesday morning along the Kranji Expressway (KJE), resulting in the death of a 52-year-old motorcyclist. The Singapore Police received reports of the accident involving a lorry, a trailer, and a motorcycle on the KJE towards the Pan Island Expressway at around 7 am.
According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the collision transpired before the Senja Road exit along the KJE. Confirming the distressing outcome, the police stated, “A 52-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.”
The driver of the lorry, a 24-year-old individual, was taken into custody for what authorities deemed as careless driving leading to the motorcyclist’s tragic demise. Describing the sequence of events in a video footage of the accident, it was evident that the motorcyclist was caught between a white lorry and a blue trailer. The lorry’s attempt to switch lanes resulted in a collision with the motorcyclist, causing him to collide with the trailer, which then ran over him.
Currently, the police are actively engaged in investigations to uncover the full details surrounding this distressing incident.
