A male driver was sent to the hospital after his car, along with two others, were involved in an accident near Fort Canning Tunnel. Photos posted on the ROADS.sg Facebook page revealed the severity of the incident, with one of the vehicles, a red Volkswagen, flipping over. Another car, painted yellow with black decals, sustained significant damage to its bonnet. This car was located on Fort Canning Link, just in front of the Singapore Management University’s Law School.
According to SCDF, the accident took place just before the entrance to the Fort Canning Tunnel, with their vehicles and officers immediately responding to the scene. As a result of the accident, the Land Transport Authority’s Traffic News account on X reported that the Fort Canning Tunnel was closed to traffic.
The Singapore Police Force confirmed that the accident, which involved three cars, occurred along Stamford Road towards Fort Canning Link. A 21-year-old male driver, who was conscious at the time, was taken to the Singapore General Hospital for treatment, as stated in a response to queries from MS News. The SCDF also confirmed that the driver was sent to the hospital, with ongoing investigations into the incident. Additionally, three other individuals suffered minor injuries but chose not to be hospitalized after receiving medical assessment.
