Gotta save this for future.. hehe
The Chinese Language Centre in Singapore, known for its focus on Chinese language education, has created a buzz by rewarding its loyal patrons with branded Coach handbags. Situated at the NEWest mall on West Coast Drive, the centre introduced this unique gesture to express gratitude to parents whose children have been enrolled since its launch in 2020, as reported by Lianhe Zaobao.
A notice displayed outside the centre stated:
“If your same child has been studying in our centre for four years, please contact Mr [redacted]. You will get a brand-name COACH bag.”
According to the official Coach Singapore website, these handbags typically range from S$475 to S$1,600, although the specific model to be gifted remains undisclosed.
Regarding this gesture, Mr. Zhang, the initiator, explained that it was a way of appreciating the unwavering support received from parents since the centre’s establishment. However, specifics such as the number of qualifying parents and the overall cost of the initiative were not disclosed.
While many parents expressed excitement over the luxurious gift, some voiced concerns about its impact on the centre’s teaching resources due to potential increased enrollments. Parent Yang Zhiting remarked, “The main reason I chose this centre is because I believe the teaching quality is excellent. This feels more like a promotional tactic, so I don’t plan to claim the bag.”
The initiative has sparked discussions on both appreciation and potential implications within the community.
