Customer Disappointed with Thin Slice of Salmon at Suntec City Food Court

Thin Salmon Slice at Suntec City Food Court Raises Eyebrows

I recall a restaurant that once served an egg the size of a SIM card…

“Customer of food court in Suntec City says it was the thinnest slice of salmon he’d ever seen,” the customer bought a salmon set at Suntec City food court on 22 Dec. Hoping for a hearty meal, the customer who purchased an S$8 salmon set expressed disappointment, finding the fish to be too thin for his liking.

According to a post on the Complaint Singapore Facebook group by netizen Clarence Khoo, he visited the Food Republic food court in Suntec City and patronized a stall named Zhen Shi Korean Cuisine. The total amount spent on a BBQ Salmon Set during his visit at 2.07 pm was S$8, as indicated on the receipt shared by Khoo.

Upon receiving his order, the portion of grilled salmon and spicy chicken galbi appeared decent. However, lifting the salmon with a spoon revealed that the meat was sliced rather thinly, prompting Khoo to mention this was the first time he had seen such a thin slice of salmon.

Netizens who saw the post expressed amazement at the thin slice of salmon. One netizen commented that it was their first time seeing such a thin slice, while another joked that the salmon looked so thin that it could be mistaken for an egg. Another humorous comment quipped that the salmon had become thin because it “exercised too much.”

In response to the incident, MS News has reached out to Food Republic for further details.
