The 38th Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) has witnessed a significant leadership change as Prime Minister (PM) Lawrence Wong assumes the role of secretary-general, succeeding Senior Minister (SM) Lee Hsien Loong. The announcement declared PM Wong’s appointment as the new secretary-general, alongside the continued roles of Education Minister Chan Chun Sing and National Development Minister Desmond Lee as assistant secretary-generals.
