Tiger Beer recently kicked off its largest-ever cash giveaway, with a total prize pool of S$880,880. The campaign, termed “Huat in the Heartlands,” saw a Yishun coffeeshop diner, Mr. Teo, snagging the first winning prize of S$8,888 upon discovering it under the cap of a Tiger quart bottle at Gold 186 Food Court on Yishun Street 31. Mr. Teo, a long-time Tiger Beer enthusiast, expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m excited to share this prize with my friends and colleagues. I hope more people will get the chance to huat with Tiger like me.”
To celebrate Mr. Teo’s win, Tiger Beer organized a lively event at the very coffeeshop where the winning bottle was purchased, bringing festive cheer to the wider Yishun community. The event featured vibrant lion dance performances and a free beer giveaway, with attendees enthusiastically reciting the phrase, “Yishun, huat ah! Tiger, huat ah!” to receive one of the initial 88 complimentary bottles.
Commenting on the event, Gerald Yeo, Marketing Director of Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) Singapore, the producer of Tiger Beer, stated, “This marks an exciting start to the ‘Huat in the Heartlands’ contest. Through this celebration, we continue to honor our roots and share the joy with the heartlanders who have supported us for decades.”
Further details on the ongoing Tiger Beer cash giveaway were also revealed. The campaign boasts three grand prizes of S$88,888 and nine additional prizes of S$8,888. In addition, bottle caps offer instant discounts of S$1 or S$3, redeemable for Tiger Beer at select outlets. To participate, individuals need to purchase a Tiger or Tiger Crystal quart bottle from over 1,500 participating outlets, pop it open, and check the cap for potential cash prizes or discounts. The campaign is set to run until 28 Feb 2025 or while stocks last, ensuring ample opportunities for diners to partake in the excitement.
To further engage consumers, Tiger Beer will be hosting roadshows at iconic coffeeshops from 27 Dec 2024 to 25 Jan 2025. Certain events will feature Getai artiste Lee Pei Fen or comedian Patricia Mok, with attendees standing a chance to win up to S$50,000 worth of prizes.
Winners of the giveaway must verify their winning bottle caps before claiming their prizes. Upon finding the S$8,888 or S$88,888 prize caps, individuals can complete the verification process online or by phone. Subsequently, winners can collect their prizes at the APB office while their respective neighborhoods host celebratory events at the outlets where the winning bottle caps were purchased, complete with free beer for all attendees.
With only one winner thus far, the opportunities to win the hidden cash prizes remain promising. Interested participants are encouraged to seize the chance by grabbing a Tiger Beer at their preferred coffeeshop and checking for the winning bottle cap.
