FairPrice Confirms Opening of Majority of Stores on 1st Day of Chinese New Year

FairPrice Announces Opening of 151 Stores on 1st Day of CNY

FairPrice Group has confirmed that the majority of its stores will be open on the first day of Chinese New Year (CNY), providing assurance to shoppers worried about running out of essentials. A press release issued by the supermarket chain on 14 Jan stated that 151 out of its 164 outlets will remain operational on 29 Jan, the public holiday.

The release also outlined the specific opening hours of these stores, with 42 offering 24-hour service and 105 closing at 5pm on CNY day. Additionally, in the lead-up to CNY, FairPrice will be extending operating hours across its stores. From 21 to 27 Jan, six FairPrice Xtra stores will stay open until 2am, and 68 stores will operate 24 hours a day to provide customers with added flexibility.

On CNY eve (28 Jan), 35 stores will continue round-the-clock service, and the remaining 128 stores will close at 5pm. Furthermore, online orders for large reunion dinners or last-minute gifts will be available throughout the festive period. Delivery services will be provided, with deliveries on CNY eve scheduled between 8am and 8pm, and reduced capacity deliveries on the first and second days of CNY.

All 164 FairPrice stores will return to normal operating hours on the day after CNY (30 Jan). For full details on FairPrice’s CNY store hours, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the company’s website.
