The Manhattan Fish Market has closed its last Singapore location at Northpoint City. The outlet ceased operations last week and is now marked as “permanently closed” on Google Maps.
A customer service officer from Northpoint City confirmed the closure to Vulcan Post. The restaurant’s website outlet locator page now shows an error message, while its delivery partner Oddle lists all items from the Northpoint City outlet as out of stock.
The seafood chain previously operated 10 outlets across Singapore, including locations at Plaza Singapura, Suntec City, Changi Airport, Tampines Mall, Changi City Point, and Kallang Wave mall.
The restaurant’s social media accounts have been inactive since November 22, 2023.
The Manhattan Fish Market started in Malaysia about 20 years ago and expanded to several countries including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Qatar. Malaysian-based Revenue Valley Group owns the restaurant chain and previously managed Tony Roma’s in Singapore, which closed its only outlet in 2019.
In 2009, the restaurant faced legal issues when competitor Fish & Co won S$269,000 in damages through a High Court ruling. The case involved claims that Manhattan Fish Market had used confidential information and copied Fish & Co’s restaurant concepts.
While no longer operating in Singapore, the chain continues to maintain locations in Malaysia, where it first began.
