Police are investigating graffiti discovered on pillars supporting MRT tracks in Jurong East, near Toh Guan Road and Ulu Pandan Depot.
The vandalism was spotted on March 1, 2025.
Reporters from 8World who visited the area near Block 273 at Toh Guan Road found graffiti on at least two pillars along Pandan River. One pillar had a cartoon cat with the numbers “1” and “3” written below it. A nearby pillar showed the numbers “2” and “4”.
At least three pillars were found vandalized. Additional pillars in the area displayed scratches and names written with markers.
Three police officers were on site during the reporters’ visit. One officer wore a shirt labeled “Forensics”. The officers placed numbered markers beside the graffiti and photographed the evidence.
Similar vandalism was reported on pillars near Ulu Pandan MRT Depot and along the Ulu Pandan Park Connector.
The Singapore Police Force confirmed they received reports about both incidents. Investigations are ongoing.
