Thai police are searching for a 32-year-old Singaporean man identified as Daniel following the discovery of his Thai girlfriend’s body in a Bangkok hotel room on March 26, 2025.
Police from Thonglor Police Station responded to a report of a murdered woman at a 50-story hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 39 at 6:20 pm. The victim was identified as 30-year-old Prao-Pilas from Khon Kaen province.
Investigators found her body in the bathroom wrapped in a blanket and bed sheet. The body was unclothed with visible wounds and blood on the head. Friends of the victim reported that a luxury handbag and expensive watch were missing from the room.
The body was discovered by Ms. Suthida Lueamsai, 31, and Ms. Emwika Makthi, 34, who had been unable to contact Prao-Pilas since March 24. After filing a police report on March 26, they visited the room with building management and found the door unlocked, the air conditioner running, and the victim’s body in the bathroom.
Hotel CCTV footage showed Daniel and Prao-Pilas leaving the room together on March 23 at 6:42 pm. At 9:17 pm, Daniel escorted her back to the room. On March 24 at 12:12 am, footage captured Daniel returning to the room. On March 25 at 3:15 pm, he left carrying luggage, exited the building, and departed in a black Mercedes-Benz.
Ms. Suthida stated that Prao-Pilas had been dating the Singaporean man. She noted that while Instagram photos showed a loving relationship, the victim had told friends about frequent arguments and physical abuse by her boyfriend.
Thonglor Police Station investigators are reviewing additional CCTV footage to track down the suspect.
