A 37-year-old woman was arrested after attacking two men with a cleaver at a food stall outside People’s Park Complex in Chinatown.
The attack happened at approximately 8:45 PM on Wednesday (19 Mar 2025). Police cordoned off the area when they arrived at the scene. Forensic personnel photographed evidence including blood splatter on the floor, bloodied tissues, and a cleaver box.
An anonymous eyewitness reported hearing a woman shouting loudly before seeing employees from nearby shops rush to help. Police quickly arrived afterward.
Sources indicate the woman allegedly brought a cleaver to “seek revenge” due to relationship issues. The two male employees became unintended victims of the attack.
One man, aged 41, suffered knife wounds to his abdomen and shoulder. The other victim, aged 30, cut his finger. Both men were taken to the hospital while conscious. A third man, aged 42, received minor injuries while attempting to stop the attack but declined hospital treatment.
Police arrested the woman on suspicion of intentionally causing harm with a dangerous weapon. They seized a cleaver from the scene as evidence.
Preliminary investigations suggest the attack may have been targeted rather than random. Police have not released additional details about possible relationship connections between the suspect and the victims.
