A woman in Jilin province, China had her hand stuck in her boyfriend’s mouth on March 18, 2025, requiring medical assistance to free it.
The couple was trying to copy a viral trend they saw online where men put women’s hands in their mouths. After successfully inserting her hand, they found it couldn’t be removed.
Video footage of the incident spread across Chinese social media, showing the couple’s predicament while the person recording laughed and explained they were “making a funny video and got stuck.”
After failed attempts to free her hand at home, the pair went to a hospital. The boyfriend’s face had turned red, with saliva dripping from his mouth corners.
Hospital staff played music to help the man relax and administered facial muscle relaxants. It took doctors about 20 minutes to remove the woman’s hand.
The video received thousands of shares on Chinese social media platforms. Many viewers expressed surprise at the situation, while others cautioned about the risks of copying internet trends without considering safety.
