Thai police arrested a Chinese couple on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, after they filmed themselves having sex at the entrance of Walking Street in Pattaya’s red-light district.
The incident happened in daylight and was spotted by a security guard who took photos and called the authorities.
The couple, identified as Oh Zhihang, 67, and Lin Tingting, 37, were caught on security cameras. Oh set up a camera tripod on the sidewalk before the act.
Security footage showed Oh removing his clothes while Tingting initially wore only a shirt before completely undressing. Their sexual activity took place in plain view of passersby and drivers.
When questioned by police, Oh described himself as a photographer with experience in nude photoshoots worldwide. He told police through an interpreter that he chose Walking Street because of its fame. Oh claimed he didn’t know he was breaking any Thai laws.
Both Chinese nationals face charges of committing an indecent act in public under Thai law. Oh apologized to Thai authorities for possibly “damaging the tourism image of Pattaya.”
