Two men received prison sentences and caning for raping a 16-year-old girl in a public toilet at Admiralty Park after she became intoxicated from drinking.
The assault occurred on March 27, 2022, around 9:00 PM. Isnari, 22, and Amin, 23, were sentenced on April 7, 2025, after pleading guilty.
Isnari was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in jail with 12 strokes of the cane. Amin received 10 years and 6 months in jail, also with 12 strokes of the cane.
Isnari faced four charges including rape, trespassing into the women’s toilet, and sexual assault. Amin faced three similar charges.
The victim met Isnari through a friend before the incident. After watching a movie together, Isnari bought gin and Red Bull for drinking. The group, which grew to include Amin and another man named Laden, gathered at Admiralty Park.
When the victim felt nauseous after drinking, Isnari took her to the women’s toilet. He pulled her into a cubicle where he sexually assaulted and raped her.
Amin and Laden entered the women’s toilet after noticing the pair’s absence. They recorded a video of the assault. Amin then entered the cubicle and sexually assaulted the victim. Laden later returned and also assaulted her.
The victim repeatedly said “no” and “don’t” during the assault. Prosecutors stated she was too intoxicated to resist.
The incident damaged the victim’s relationship with her family, who blamed her for what happened. She now has difficulty trusting men.
Isnari’s lawyer claimed there was no collaboration between the three men. Amin’s lawyer said his client acted impulsively.
