Singapore’s General Election 2025 has party political broadcasts (PPBs) scheduled for April 25 and May 1, 2025.
The broadcasts will air on six Mediacorp TV channels and 13 radio stations run by Mediacorp, SPH, and So Drama! Entertainment.
Viewers can also watch the broadcasts on digital platforms including mewatch, melisten, CNA’s YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and microsites in all four official languages.
The first broadcast takes place on April 25, 2025, while the second broadcast happens on May 1, 2025. Both will air on TV and radio.
For English broadcasts on April 25, viewers can tune in at 8pm on Channel 5, CNA938, GOLD 905, CLASS 95, mewatch, and melisten. At 9pm, the broadcast will air on CNA, cna.asia, CNA YouTube, and mewatch.
Chinese broadcasts on April 25 will air at 8pm on Channel 8, CAPITAL 958, 8world.com, 8world YouTube, mewatch, and melisten. Channel U will show it at 11:45pm.
Malay broadcasts will air at 8:30pm on Suria and WARNA 942, while Tamil broadcasts start at 9pm on Vasantham and OLI 968.
The May 1 broadcast follows a similar schedule, with English broadcasts at 8pm and 9pm, Chinese broadcasts at 8pm and 10pm, Malay at 8:30pm, and Tamil at 9pm.
The broadcast order is determined by candidate numbers, with parties fielding fewer candidates going first. Each party’s airtime depends on its number of candidates.
Political parties must field at least six candidates under a recognized party symbol to qualify for a PPB slot. Only election candidates can deliver messages.
Parties can use any or all of Singapore’s four official languages, but scripts must be identical across languages. Content must follow TV and radio codes of practice.
All broadcasts will be available live or on-demand at the mewatch General Election microsite (www.mewatch.sg/ge2025) and on Mediacorp’s language-specific sites.
Key dates for Singapore’s General Election 2025 include Nomination Day on April 23, Party Political Broadcasts on April 25 and May 1, and Polling Day on May 3, 2025.
