Passenger Filmed Urinating While in Middle Seat on Airplane

A recent social media video shows a male passenger urinating from his middle seat on an airplane.

The video, recorded by another traveler, captures the man looking around while relieving himself on the floor while still buckled in his seat.

Based on visible markings in the footage, the plane appears to be a Turkish Airlines Airbus A321, according to View From The Wing.

The man in the video directed his urine toward the safety card area. The seats next to him seemed empty during the incident.

Social media users reacted strongly to the video. One commenter wrote: “This passenger needs to be banned from ALL flights.” Another said: “Wear adult nappies if you are incontinent!”

Other In-Flight Urination Incidents

Several similar incidents have occurred on other flights.

A passenger on an American Airlines flight drank nine Jack and Cokes before exposing himself and urinating in the aisle. This forced American Eagle flight 3921, traveling from Chicago to Manchester, New Hampshire, to make an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York.

The man, Neil McCarthy, told police he had consumed alcohol before boarding in Portland, Oregon, and during his Chicago layover. He faced indecent exposure charges.

In 2022, Shankar Mishra, an Indian passenger, allegedly urinated on a 72-year-old woman during an Air India flight from New York to Delhi. Both were in business class. The woman described it as her most “traumatic” flight and asked to change seats, but was told only a small crew seat was available.

Mishra was later arrested and lost his job at US banking firm Wells Fargo.

In 2016, another passenger urinated on the floor of an American Airlines flight. When flight attendants confronted him after seeing him pull up his pants, they informed him about the available lavatories. He was later found lying on the lavatory floor and claimed he wasn’t drunk.
