A tourist from Shanghai reported her daughter suffered a deep toe cut while swimming in a pool at Ola Beach Club in Sentosa, requiring hospital stitches.

The incident happened on May 4, 2025, during China’s Labour Day Golden Week holiday when the family visited the club located on Siloso Beach Walk.

According to the tourist, who uses the username Emillie on RedNote, her daughter complained of foot pain while swimming. Upon checking, Emillie discovered non-stop bleeding from her daughter’s toe.

Emillie stated she immediately called for help from the restaurant staff. A server and chef assisted with the injury, while medical personnel later bandaged the wound and advised the child needed urgent medical attention.

The mother claimed the club manager did not personally offer assistance during the incident. When asked about taking responsibility, the manager allegedly provided a business card and suggested email contact after reporting to higher management.

Ola Beach Club confirmed the incident occurred and expressed regret about the injury. A spokesperson stated staff provided immediate help when the incident happened and maintained email communication afterward.

The club representative added their team fully supported all claims made by the affected family. The club emphasized customer safety remains a top priority for their establishment.
