Public transport operator SBS Transit will extend operating hours for selected train and bus services on May 11, the eve of Vesak Day.
Train services on the North East Line, Downtown Line, and both the Sengkang and Punggol LRT networks will run approximately 30 minutes later than usual. According to SBS Transit’s announcement on May 5, this extension aims to support commuters out late for the public holiday.
On the North East Line, the final train from Punggol Coast station will depart at midnight, while the last train from HarbourFront will leave at 12:30am. For the Downtown Line, the final service will depart from Bukit Panjang station at 12:03am and from Expo station at 12:04am.
The Sengkang and Punggol LRT lines will also operate later into the night. The last train from Sengkang station will depart at 1:06am, and the final service from Punggol station will leave at 1:09am.
In addition to trains, 17 bus routes operated by SBS Transit will also offer extended service hours to accommodate late-night travellers.
