It was revealed that the man running in the costume was a friend of someone’s mother who does not have a TikTok account but had seen the video forwarded to him. The TikToker, Woon Rae, shared that the man seemed to be participating in the half marathon as well. Despite being overtaken by the man in the Fred Flintstone costume, Woon Rae expressed her determination to continue running, highlighting that running had only recently become a serious endeavor for her.

The man in the Fred Flintstone costume appeared to be a source of motivation and intrigue for other runners as well, with one participant expressing feeling demoralized after being overtaken by him. Woon Rae, a 23-year-old student and content creator, shared that she had been consistently training for races, running thrice a week and participating in run clubs on weekends. Despite feeling extremely exhausted after the half marathon, she was thrilled to have completed the run, beating her previous best time by 10 minutes. Woon Rae also highlighted that her participation in the run was for a good cause, as Income Insurance matched donations to the WWF-SG for every kilometer clocked by participants.
