The Singapore Civil Defence Force responded to a fire at Block 19 Punggol Field Walk at 7pm on August 6, 2025.
The address is part of Waterwoods executive condominium.
Firefighters found the living room of a 16th-floor unit on fire when they arrived. SCDF personnel forced their way into the unit to reach the scene.
Four people were inside the burning unit during firefighting operations. All four were conscious when firefighters found them and brought them to safety.
SCDF used a water jet to put out the fire. Officers checked all four people for smoke inhalation.
Three of the four people needed hospital treatment. Two went to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. One went to Singapore General Hospital.
The fourth person refused hospital treatment.
Police and SCDF officers evacuated about 100 residents from the block as a safety measure.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A fire broke out in a unit on the same floor and block in 2020. The bedroom fire led to six people being rescued.
