A 23-year-old woman died after a car crashed into a Tower Transit bus at Yishun Avenue 2 and Yishun Central 1 on August 2, 2025.
The accident happened at 5:35am. Police and SCDF rushed to the scene after getting collision reports.
The silver car slammed into the back of the stationary bus. The impact shattered windows and left the car’s right doors hanging open. SCDF officers treated victims at the crash site.
Three people got hurt. The 23-year-old female passenger was unconscious when paramedics took her to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She died from her injuries there.
A 47-year-old male driver and 20-year-old female passenger stayed conscious during transport to the same hospital.
Tower Transit said the bus was stopped at traffic lights when the car hit it. No passengers were riding the bus.
Police are investigating what caused the fatal rear-end crash. They haven’t released more details about the collision.
