Yuying Secondary Student Hospitalized After Aggressive Incident, Found With Vape Device

A Yuying Secondary School student was hospitalized on 31 Jul 2025 following aggressive behavior directed at a staff member.

The incident happened around 3:20pm. Police arrived to assist with the situation.

Principal Chong Jack Sheng confirmed officers discovered an e-vaporiser on the student. The Singapore Civil Defence Force transported the student to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital for observation.

The student remains in good health. The school monitors his condition.

HSA Investigates Vaping Violation

The Health Sciences Authority launched an investigation into the e-vaporiser offense after the device was found.

Someone posted a video showing an ambulance at the Hougang school on social media on 3 Aug 2025.

The footage captured a student saying “He took Kpods ah” during the incident.

The original video was deleted. Copies still spread across social media platforms like TikTok.

Kpods Incidents Rise Among Singapore Teens

Authorities investigate multiple cases involving teenage Kpods use. These electronic cigarettes contain vape juice mixed with powerful substances like etomidate or ketamine.

Principal Chong stated student and staff safety remains the top priority. The school implements prevention programs and disciplinary measures to address vaping issues. Rehabilitation support is also provided.
