A 41-year-old man was arrested on 20 Sep 2025 at Ubi Avenue 3 after police received reports of suspicious activity around 11:30 am.
Officers found the man shirtless beside his car with a small dog. He gave police a false name and resisted arrest by pushing officers and attempting to bite them during restraint.
Witnesses filmed the incident while the man’s dog barked and moved around the scene.
Police Find Suspected Drugs During Search
A body search revealed substances suspected to be controlled drugs, an e-vaporiser, drug paraphernalia, and a bank card that did not belong to him.
Background checks showed the man was wanted by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) for previous drug-related offences.
Charges Filed
The man faces charges for using force against public servants, providing false information, possible fraudulent possession of property, and suspected drug offences.
CNB has taken over the drug investigation. The Health Sciences Authority will examine the e-vaporiser.
No officers sustained serious injuries. Family members collected the suspect’s dog.
Father Refuses Bail
Shin Min Daily News reported that the suspect’s father holds a prominent social position but requested anonymity to protect his business from association with the case.
The father said his son had lived independently for several years and they had lost contact during this time.
The father believes the arrest could help his son and has decided not to post bail. He hopes custody will motivate his son to change his life and seek rehabilitation.
Police continue investigating the seized substances, property, and evidence from previous cases.
