A fire at Block 510 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 sent 10 people to the hospital on 25 Sep 2025. The blaze involved a personal mobility aid and several bicycles at the seventh floor lift lobby, The Straits Times reported.
What Happened
The Singapore Civil Defence Force got the emergency call at 8.30pm. Firefighters quickly put out the flames, which stayed contained to the seventh floor lift lobby where the mobility aid and bicycles were stored.
No residential units suffered fire damage.
Hospital Cases and Evacuations
Mothership reported that victims ranged from 18 months to 85 years old. All were conscious when assessed for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital.
Police and SCDF evacuated about 90 residents from the block as a safety measure.
Arrests Made
Police arrested two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, for mischief by fire. The Singapore Police Force said their investigation continues.
