Morning Rescue During Singapore-Phuket Trip
The drama unfolded during a three-night cruise from Singapore to Phuket. Crew members spotted a small boat in trouble that morning. Someone was in the water, waving for help.
The maritime team sprang into action the moment they saw the distressed person. They hauled the individual aboard safely through quick teamwork.
Medical Care and Food Provided
The ship’s medical team checked on the rescued person right away. They gave food and drinks to the individual after bringing them aboard.
Onboard medical staff ran a full health check. The person is doing well and getting continued care on the Genting Dream.
Company Arranges Shore Transfer
StarDream Cruises – the new name for what used to be Resorts World Cruises – put out a press release about the rescue. The cruise line is working with authorities to get the person safely to shore.
Michael Goh runs StarDream Cruises as president. “Safety at sea is our top priority,” Goh said. “I’m proud of how the captain and crew stayed alert and handled this rescue like pros.”
