A 185-room hotel called The Ridge will open at the National University of Singapore’s Kent Ridge campus in the first half of 2026. The hotel will serve students, visiting academics and professionals.
The Ridge sits on Computing Drive, near the NUS School of Computing and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Construction wraps up in April 2026.
NUS told Channel NewsAsia that the hotel will accommodate the university’s growing number of overseas academic visitors, research collaborators, executive programme learners and conference delegates. These guests need easy access to campus for their work and research activities.
Room Types and What Guests Get
Three room categories will be available: deluxe rooms, premier rooms and premier suites. The public and tourists cannot book rooms at The Ridge.
Guests get high-speed internet, round-the-clock concierge services and a meeting facility for in-house conferences. The hotel shares a wall with the NUS Society Kent Ridge Guild House. That means guests can use selected facilities there, including a 50-metre pool and a 5,800-square-foot fitness centre.
Where NUS Visitors Stay Now
NUS currently houses visitors at Kent Vale Residences on Clementi Road. These are mainly flats for faculty members, university visitors and conference participants.
The nearest hotels to campus right now sit along Pasir Panjang Road. That’s near the strip of eateries NUS students call the “supper stretch”—a string of food and drink spots that stay open late into the night.
