Twelve Singaporeans aged between 25 and 35 were arrested on 16 Oct 2025 for their suspected involvement in the possession and distribution of e-vaporisers, reported The Straits Times.
The suspects were arrested at a car park near Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 while allegedly gathering and distributing the e-vaporisers.
The Singapore Police Force and the Health Sciences Authority issued a joint statement on 18 Oct 2025. The 12 individuals are believed to be part of an e-vaporiser syndicate that orchestrated the importation and distribution of e-vaporisers from Malaysia into Singapore.
The syndicate had been supplying residents across the city-state.
Authorities raided three locations following the arrests: Upper Jurong Road, Canberra Drive and Jalan Sendudok. Two of these locations were allegedly used by the syndicate as storage facilities.
Police coordinated with HSA to seize more than 64,000 e-vaporisers and related components during the raids. The seized vapes have an estimated street value of $560,000.
Eight cars were seized during the operation. Electronic devices such as mobile phones and SIM cards were also confiscated. Cash amounting to more than $16,000 was recovered. The scale of the seizure makes this one of 2025’s largest vape hauls.
All 12 individuals were charged in court on 18 Oct 2025. Those found guilty of conspiring to possess e-vaporisers for sale may be fined up to $10,000, jailed for up to six months, or both.
Repeat offenders face doubled penalties.
