Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa will host the Asia-Pacific premiere of Wicked: For Good on 13 Nov 2025. The announcement came in a press release issued late on Friday (10 Oct 2025).
Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and Michelle Yeoh will walk the yellow carpet at the event. Actor Jeff Goldblum and director Jon M Chu will also attend.
Singapore is the fourth stop on a five-city global premiere tour. The tour kicked off in São Paulo, Brazil on 4 Nov 2025. Paris followed on 7 Nov. London came next on 10 Nov. After Singapore on 13 Nov, the tour wraps up in New York City on 17 Nov 2025.
First Film Broke Records
The first Wicked film hit theatres in November 2024. It became the most successful Broadway film adaptation ever made. Box office numbers reached over US$756.4 million (~SGD$981.6 million) worldwide. The Academy gave it 10 nominations, including Best Picture.
The film won two Oscars at the 97th Academy Awards. One went to Best Costume Design. The other went to Best Production Design.
Wicked knocked Mamma Mia! (2008) off its throne. The ABBA musical had previously held the record at US$611 million (~SGD$809 million) globally.
What Happens at the Premiere
The evening includes a handprint ceremony. A screening will take place at Pantages Hollywood Theatre. An exclusive fan event will happen at WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa before the premiere kicks off.
Fans can buy Universal Studios Singapore Premiere Day Special tickets to watch the cast walk the yellow carpet on 13 Nov 2025. Adults pay from S$93. Children pay from S$72. Both ticket types include Universal Studios Singapore food and beverage vouchers plus retail vouchers. The movie screening itself is invitation-only.

Wicked: For Good closes out the untold story of the witches of Oz. Elphaba, labeled as the Wicked Witch of the West, now lives in exile within the Ozian forest. Glinda has become Oz’s symbol of Goodness. Elphaba keeps fighting for the freedom of Oz’s silenced animals. She also works to expose the truth about the Wizard.
Singapore cinemas will show the film starting 20 Nov 2025. The United States gets its theatrical release on 21 Nov 2025.
