Woman Investigates Massage Parlour After Husband’s Secret Texts

Wife suspects husband hooked up with masseuse, sends friend undercover to check if massage parlour is offering “extra services”

A marriage of 11 years hit a rough patch when one woman, identified as Ms. Chen, 47, started to worry that her husband was seeing a masseuse. Ms. Chen, who runs an import and export business with her husband, grew suspicious when his behavior suddenly changed. She eventually sent a friend in a covert mission to apply for a job at the massage parlour to find out if they were offering what she called “extra services.” Heartbroken and angry, she decided to share her story with Shin Min Daily News.

Suspicion Grows at Home

Ms. Chen described her husband as someone who was always responsible and caring. They have one son, and her husband used to take the family out often and always picked their child up from school every day.

However, things started changing around the beginning of August. Ms. Chen noticed a clear difference in his habits. She said, “He began hiding his phone from me, holding it in a way that I couldn’t see the screen. At first, I didn’t think much about it, but later his behaviour became more suspicious.”

Since they work together, they sometimes swap phones to check on orders. When he started avoiding that, she felt something was definitely wrong. She then checked his phone and was shocked. “So I checked his phone and found several messages between him and a Vietnamese woman,” she shared. After confronting him repeatedly, he finally admitted that he met the woman after going for a massage near their home.

The Undercover Mission

To get to the bottom of the situation, Ms. Chen asked a female friend, who was preparing to leave the country, to go undercover. The friend applied for a job at the massage parlour, which is located on Serangoon Road.

The friend came back with some worrying details. Ms. Chen shared what her friend observed: “My friend said that during her visit, the girls inside spoke openly about receiving tips of S$50 or even hundreds from customers. For a normal massage, how could anyone get that much in tips?”

Her husband did admit to giving the woman a S$50 tip after his massage, but he strongly denied doing anything inappropriate. He also insisted that he has blocked the woman’s number now. When the news outlet visited Ms. Chen, her husband was present and kept insisting that he was “innocent.”

Since the massage parlour is less than a 10-minute walk from their home, Ms. Chen still finds it hard to believe her husband’s story, even though he claims he’s cut off all contact.

The Parlour’s Defense

The owner of the massage parlour, who didn’t want their name published, claimed that they run a completely legal business. They said their staff regularly checks the rooms to make sure no illegal activities are taking place. The owner even suggested that the complaint might have come from a jealous competitor who wanted to harm their business.

Ms. Chen quickly denied this reason, clarifying her true intention. She stated, “I only wanted to find out the truth and win back my husband’s heart. That’s why I reported the matter.”
