A 39-year-old Hong Kong lawyer admitted to five sexual offence charges involving a 12-year-old girl. The crimes took place in his residential flat.

Kelvin Luk Kin-ting faced two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13, two counts of making child pornography, and one count of causing a person under 16 to make pornography.

The incidents happened on 4 March and 28 March 2024. Luk contacted the victim through messaging platforms before inviting her to his flat multiple times. Sexual acts were performed and recorded without the girl’s consent. He took more than 200 nude photographs of her. Police confirmed the timeline through forensic analysis of time-stamped video evidence.

The victim’s father discovered inappropriate messages and videos on his daughter’s phone on 4 May 2024. He reported the case to authorities the next day.

Investigators recovered multiple explicit videos from Luk’s device. Forensic experts authenticated the communications and video evidence during the investigation.

In Hong Kong, sexual activity with anyone under sixteen is illegal regardless of consent. Producing child pornography carries harsh penalties. The maximum punishment for each sexual offence is life imprisonment, while making child pornography can lead to up to eight years behind bars.

Luk will be sentenced on 17 November 2025 after psychological and background reports are submitted to the court.
