A 71-year-old man was found lying motionless at the foot of Block 139 Jalan Bukit Merah on 16 Nov 2025. Police received the alert at 6:30am.
An SCDF paramedic pronounced him dead at the scene. By 9:00am, a blue tent had been set up at the void deck.
Police have classified this as an unnatural death case. Preliminary investigations show no signs of foul play. The investigation continues.
This happened just three days after a similar incident in Hougang on 13 Nov 2025. A 23-year-old woman, believed to be a foreign domestic worker, was found face down on a grass verge next to Block 649 Hougang Avenue 8.
Police didn’t suspect foul play in the Hougang case either. That investigation is also still underway.
