A 34-year-old man crashed into four vehicles and ran from police on 4 Nov 2025. Officers caught him 36 hours later hiding in an industrial building in Kaki Bukit.

The Crash and Chase

Patrol officers saw a red car hit a kerb on Telok Blangah Drive around 8:30am on 4 Nov 2025. When they walked up to the vehicle, the driver suddenly cut across the road divider and took off. He slammed into three more cars and a bus before ditching his vehicle.

One person needed hospital care. A 48-year-old male driver went to Singapore General Hospital conscious.

The man jumped out of his car and ran up Telok Blangah Hill on foot. People nearby filmed his face and the route he took. Police started searching the entire island for him.

The Hideout

On 5 Nov 2025, multiple police cars showed up at Premier@Kaki Bukit, an eight-storey industrial complex. Lianhe Wanbao got a tip about the heavy police activity around 7pm.

Hu Xing, a 30-year-old engineer, saw a crowd of officers when he left work at 7pm. “They looked serious and told us to leave quickly. But they didn’t say who they were after,” he said.

A Lianhe Wanbao reporter got there around 9pm. Several police vehicles sat parked below the buildings. The suspect was hiding on the sixth floor. More than ten officers stood outside the door.

Police brought sniffer dogs in at 10pm. The search lasted about 20 minutes. An officer then walked out carrying two riot shields.

At 11:17pm, officers led a man in a red T-shirt and black shorts out of the complex. Police behind him held what looked like evidence from the unit.

Caught Off Guard

Hafiz, a 36-year-old carpenter who rents space on the sixth floor, was heading home around 7pm on 5 Nov 2025. He stepped into the lift lobby and suddenly found plainclothes officers gathered behind the door.

They asked where he worked and if he knew anything about the suspect. “I opened the door and saw what I believe were plainclothes police lying in wait. It startled me,” he said. When he took the lift down, he spotted more officers waiting on the ground floor.

The Singapore Police Force confirmed they found and arrested the 34-year-old on 5 Nov 2025.
