Late-Night Sighting of Woman with Stroller on KJE

Woman Seen Pushing Stroller Along KJE at 2:30am Sparks Online Debate

Uh oh, not turning back..

A strange and unexpected sight caught the attention of many online users after a video showing a woman pushing a stroller at the side of the Kranji Expressway (KJE) surfaced. The clip, which appeared to be recorded at around 2:30am on Nov. 6, was shared on the Roads.SG Facebook page and YouTube channel on Nov. 13, quickly drawing curious and puzzled reactions.

In the video, the car recording the footage was travelling down an empty stretch of the expressway. As the vehicle moved forward, a figure slowly became visible on the road shoulder. When the car approached closer, the outline of a person, who looked like a woman in a white top, could be clearly seen pushing a stroller.

Despite a car and a motorcycle passing by her, she did not show any reaction and simply continued walking along the shoulder of the expressway.

Walking on expressways is not allowed in Singapore. According to the Road Traffic Act:

  • Pedestrians are strictly prohibited from being on expressways.
  • Anyone caught doing so can face a fine of up to S$1,000, up to three months in jail, or both.
  • Repeat offenders may face fines of up to S$2,000, up to six months in jail, or both.
