Two middle-aged men were arrested following a physical fight at Telok Blangah Crescent Market and Food Centre on 24 Nov 2025.
Police received reports of the altercation at Block 11 Telok Blangah Crescent at 5:25pm.
The two men, aged 63 and 68, were arrested for affray.
Video Shows Fight in Front of Fried Rice Stall
A video of the incident surfaced on Facebook on 25 Nov and spread rapidly online.
The footage captured a man in a white shirt charging at another man in a black shirt who held what appeared to be a wooden stick.
The fight occurred directly in front of a fried rice stall.
The man in black swung the stick while the man in white threw punches in response.
The man in black fell from the impact and landed at the stall entrance. The man in white tried to grab the stick but couldn’t.
As the man in black attempted to get up, he took several punches to the face and fell again.
A third man wearing a cap intervened to separate them.
The man in white stepped back and tossed his glasses onto a table.
The two men then faced each other across the table, with the man in white grabbing a plastic chair.
After the mediator’s intervention, both men left separately.
The person who broke up the fight was a member of the public.
Stall Owner Says Men Were Sitting Together Before Fight
The stall owner told Shin Min Daily News that he believes the two men knew each other, as they were seated together before the altercation.
He didn’t recognise them as regulars.
The owner heard them arguing at some point.
One man insulted the other in dialect, which sparked the fight.
The stall owner told them to stop fighting. They left before police arrived.
Police interviewed the stall owner after the incident.
He provided CCTV footage from his stall to investigators.
He also cleaned bloodstains off his stall floor after the fight.
One Man Sent to Hospital
The 68-year-old man was taken to hospital while conscious.
Police investigations are ongoing.
