Yishun Mookata Forgives Teens After They Admit to Messing Up Stall With Food-Throwing Incident

Five Boys Apologise After Throwing Food & Burning Chopsticks at Yishun Mookata Stall

A mookata stall in Yishun caught the attention of social media after five boys threw food and burned chopsticks inside its outlet. Family Mookata, which has four outlets across Singapore, reported that the incident took place between 6pm and 6.30pm on Sunday, 23 November.

The boys took a tray of eggs and ice pops and began tossing the food at one another, ruining it. The business added that they also burned wooden chopsticks during the incident.

Call for an Apology

Family Mookata shared on Facebook that its CCTV cameras had captured the boys’ faces “clearly”. The stall said, “Your behaviour was completely unacceptable.”

The business expected the boys to return by Monday, 24 November, to apologise and pay compensation for the damaged food. Family Mookata warned that if they failed to do so, it would have “no choice” but to make a police report, adding, “We know exactly who you are.”

Sincere Apologies Received

Later on Monday night, the stall updated its Facebook page, saying the boys had “apologised sincerely” and taken responsibility for their actions.

The business then decided to forgive them, explaining: “With our brand built around family values, we believe in second chances and learning moments.”

Family Mookata also expressed hope that the experience would help the boys “grow into better young men”, adding that the matter had “come to a meaningful close”.

Commitment to Community Values

The stall’s response highlights its focus on teaching accountability and respect, reflecting its family-oriented brand. By offering forgiveness after sincere apologies, Family Mookata showed that it values learning moments and encourages youths to understand the consequences of their actions.
