Restaurants at Beauty World

A 55-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft at a food and beverage establishment along Chun Tin Road, located in the Beauty World neighbourhood. The Singapore Police Force (SPF) reported that the swift action led to the recovery of the stolen cash, which amounted to over S$155.

The police were alerted to the incident at approximately 11:42 am on Sunday, December 14. Through follow-up investigations, and with crucial assistance from images captured by police cameras and CCTVs, officers from the Clementi Police Division and Police Operations Command Centre successfully identified the suspect.

The man was apprehended within seven hours of the police report being lodged. The cash allegedly stolen from the restaurant was subsequently recovered and seized by the police.

The suspect is scheduled to be charged in court on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, for the offence of housebreaking and theft. If convicted, the man faces a serious penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a fine, according to Singapore’s laws.

In light of the case, the SPF reminded members of the public, particularly business owners in Singapore, to remain vigilant and adopt robust crime prevention measures. These advisories include:

  • Securing all doors, windows, and other openings with good-quality grilles and closed-shackle padlocks, even when leaving premises unattended for a brief period.
  • Refraining from keeping large sums of cash and valuable items within the premises.
  • Installing security devices such as burglar alarms, motion sensor lights, and CCTVs to monitor access points, ensuring they are tested periodically and kept in good working condition.
