Muslims who are preparing to break their fast during Ramadan can collect free snack packs at 60 FairPrice outlets across Singapore. The distribution will take place from Feb 19 to March 20, in line with the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The snack packs will be given out daily by FairPrice staff and volunteers. They will be available about 30 minutes before the time to break fast and for another 30 minutes after. Each pack includes one drink and either fruits or biscuits. Muslims can choose items such as apples, dates or biscuits. Drink options include lychee rose tea, milk or water.
In a statement on Feb 19, FairPrice Group shared that it will distribute 80,000 buka puasa refreshment sets in 2026. This is higher than the 75,000 sets given out in 2025. Buka puasa means break fast in Malay. FairPrice said: “This effort aims to provide more nutritious options for Muslim customers when they break fast.”
Ramadan Care Packs for Mendaki Beneficiaries
The FairPrice Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the supermarket group, will also distribute 500 Ramadan care packs to beneficiaries of Mendaki, a community self-help group. These care packs include fresh apples, dates, fresh milk, cooking paste and other items commonly used for breaking fast.
Hari Raya Promotions and Bazaars
FairPrice will offer discounts on Hari Raya festive items until March 25. Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on March 21 this year.
There will also be 35 FairPrice stores across Singapore featuring Hari Raya bazaars. These bazaars will offer ready-to-eat festive treats, condiments, frozen processed food, desserts and Hari Raya decorations.
