On Monday, 9 March 2026, homegrown café, deli, and grocer The Providore Singapore announced on Instagram that it will cease operations in the country with immediate effect. In the post, the brand thanked its customers for their “long-term support and kindness” and confirmed that all Singapore outlets would close from that day.
A Fond Farewell Message
The Providore added in its Instagram post, “Partings come, but flavour and memories last forever. We look forward to meeting you again in another form in the future.” The message captured the brand’s gratitude to its loyal patrons and highlighted the lasting memories created over the years.
Background of The Providore
Founded in 2013 by Robert Collick, The Providore grew into a beloved lifestyle F&B brand in Singapore, operating as a restaurant, café, deli, and bakery. Over the years, it became a go-to destination for food lovers, with several outlets at Mandarin Gallery, VivoCity, and Raffles Place.
In April 2025, the brand was sold to new investors, and founder Robert Collick exited the business. At the time of the sale, the new owners stated they planned to “evolve the brand by introducing new concepts and experiences,” though no further details on the closure were shared.
The Providore’s closure marks the end of a 13-year journey of high-quality food and community connection in Singapore. While the reasons for shutting down remain undisclosed, the brand’s message focused on celebrating the relationships and experiences shared with its patrons.
